Mark Deering has been working and playing with butterflies for 30 years. Having received a Masters from Michigan State in Entomology, he is currently the Collections Manager and Curator of Butterflies at the Sophia Sachs Butterfly House (www.butterflyhouse.org). He has always enjoyed capturing photos of animals, and thinks his love of the subjects shows in the pictures. These photos have been taken in many different countries, including Japan, Thailand, Costa Rica, Ecuador and The Galapagos Islands, Canada and of course, the USA.
Deering is a founding member of the Board of Directors, and currently the President, of the International Association of Butterfly Exhibitions (IABE, http://www.butterflyexhibitions.org/).
